shown in the navigation bar. A multimedia message can contain only one image and
one sound clip.
Tip! The default setting is Image size: Large (network dependent). When you
are sending a multimedia message to an e-mail address or a device that
supports the receiving of large images, use the larger image size. If you are
not sure of the receiving device or the network does not support the sending
of large files, it is recommended to use a smaller image size and a sound clip
that is no longer than 15 seconds. To change the setting, select Options→
Sending options→ Image size when you are creating a multimedia message.
If you select Insert→ New sound clip, Recorder opens and you can record a new
sound. Press OK and the new sound is automatically saved and a copy is inserted in
the message. Select Options→ Preview message to see what the multimedia
message will look like.
• To add an attachment to an e-mail, select Options→ Insert→ Image, Sound clip,
Video clip or Note. E-mail attachments are indicated by

Note: E-mail messages are automatically placed in Outbox before sending. If
sending does not succeed, the e-mail is left in the Outbox with the status Failed.

Settings needed for multimedia messaging

You may receive the settings in a text message from your network operator or service
provider. See 'Receiving logos, tones, business cards, calendar entries, and settings', p. 60.
For availability of and subscription to data services, please contact your network operator
or service provider. Follow the instructions given by your service provider.
Entering the settings manually:
1 Go to Tools→ Settings→ Connection→ Access points and define the settings for a
multimedia messaging access point.
