To reset the Samsung SGH-L320 to factory settings:

1. Ensure the SIM card is properly inserted.
2. If prompted for a PIN and it is not working, you must enter the correct PIN supplied with the SIM card. The PIN feature can be disabled through the PIN check menu once access is gained.
3. To reset settings, navigate to:

→ Settings → Reset settings.

If the PIN cannot be bypassed and access to the menu is blocked, a factory reset cannot be performed through the phone's standard settings. In that case, service assistance may be required.

The calendar limitation to the year 2000 is a software constraint and cannot be changed by resetting.
