Tap the input panel icon.

Tap the arrow next to the input panel icon and select

Tap characters to enter your text:
• To enter the text in Chinese input mode, tap the appropriate
keys corresponding to the strokes shown on the on-screen
keyboard. Tap 1 through 5 to enter strokes or tap 6 when
you are unsure which stroke to enter. After entering strokes,
tap the character you want from the list.
• To enter English characters, tap and hold 英文 .
• To enter text in ABC mode, tap MODE to turn off xt9. Tap
the appropriate key to enter a character.
• To enter the text in T9 mode, tap MODE to turn on xt9. Tap
the appropriate keys to enter an entire word before editing
or deleting characters. T9 predicts the word you are typing.
• To enter symbols or numbers, tap 英文 or 筆劃 .
