• Zoom Feature

1. Set Mode selector to Auto, Manual or Video.
2. Turn on the camera.
3. Press Zoom in (Telephoto) /Zoom out (wide) button to zoom in or out.
While pressing the zoom in (Telephoto) /out (wide) buttons, a bar will
be shown on the LCD screen as illustrated. The red square in the bar
indicates the zoom status. "T" stands for "Tele" and "W" stands for
"Wide".
4. After a few seconds the zoom bar disappears from the LCD screen
and you can now take pictures or video clips. The zoom setting will
remain until further zoom adjustments are made or the camera is
powered off.
There are two types of zoom in this camera: digital zoom and optical
zoom.
Area A is optical zoom, when the red square moves within this area the
lens will zoom in or out while you press the Zoom in/out button.
Area B is digital zoom, when the red bar
moves up to this area, the lens will not
move in or out while you press the Zoom
in/out button. Instead, the digital zoom
is effected within the camera by further
cropping the image.
While
using
the
viewfinder may not reflect the actual
image taken. We recommend the user to
use the LCD screen to monitor the zoom
feature.
NOTE:
You may notice a decrease in image quality when using the digital zoom.
