Using the TTL Auto Flash
1. Remove the Hot Shoe Cover FE and attach a
dedicated flash unit.
Set the flash to TTL Auto mode. Set the camera to any of
t h e P i c t u r e M o d e s , P r o g r a m m e d A E M o d e o r A p e r t u r e
Priority AE Mode.
M o v e t h e f l a s h ' s m a i n s w i t c h t o O N .
E n s u r e t h a t t h e f l a s h i s f u l l y c h a r g e d . A f t e r t h e f l a s h
r e a d y l a m p i s l i t , i f y o u d e p r e s s t h e s h u t t e r r e l e a s e
b u t t o n h a l f w a y d o w n , t t l c o m e s o n i n t h e v i e v t r f i n d e r .
Afte rthe flash is fu I ly cha rged, the sh utter speed va ries i n
the range of 11100 to 1/30 sec. according to the ambient
b r i g h t n e s s . T h e s l o w e s t s h u t t e r s p e e d d e p e n d s o n t h e
l e n s f o c a l l e n g t h .
However, when a lens made before the Pentax A series
l e n s i s i n u s e o r w h e n t h e A c t i o n P r o g r a m M o d e i s i n u s e ,
the camera uses the shutter speed of 11100 sec.
