Changing The Light Bulb
CAUTION: Disconnect the power-line plug

This machine is designed to use a 15 watt
maximum bayonet base bulb only.
Remove face plate, as instructed on page 51.
1. Removing Bulb: Press bulb into socket and
at the same time turn bulb in direction
shown to unlock bulb pin (do not attempt
to unscrew the light bulb).
2, Replacing Bulb: Press new bulb into soc-
ket. with bulb pin entering slot of socket,
and turn it in direction shown to lock bulb
in position. Replace face plate.
Replacing The Slide Plate
You will not have any occasion to remove the
slide plate However. if it should accidentally
become disengaged from the machine, it is

easily replaced.
* Raise the presser foot and makesure needle
is in its highest position.
" Place slide plate in slide way with the front
edge close to, but not covering, the retain-
ing spring (as shown).

* With a small screwdriver, lift each end of the
spring A into each of the side grooves on the
underside of the plate
* Draw the plate gently toward you and fully
engage the spring
* Close slide plate.
