PLANNING and INSTALLING YOUR SYSTEM (continued) STEPS FOR AMPLFIER INSTALATION- The following represents the steps for a typical amplifier installation, using an aftermarket source unit or OEM source Interface. Not all installations are the same and different procedures may be required. If you have any ques- tions, please contact your authorized Image Dynamics dealer for assistance.
POWER CONNECTIONS CAUTION Prior to installing the amplifier, disconnect the negative (ground) wire from the vehicle’s battery. This will prevent accidental damage to the system, the vehicle and your person during installation. The i-series amplifiers power and ground connections are designed to accept 4/8 AWG power wire.
CONTROLS AND SETTINGS SET UP ADJUSTMENTS GAIN Input Gain Adjustment Input Sensitivity Control This control allows you to match the input level of the amplifier to the output of your head unit. Matching the input can be accomplished in three simple steps: Set the Input GAIN on the amplifier to Min (completely counter clock wise) Turn on the head unit and adjust volume to just below maximum volume, and set the BASS and TREBLE to zero.

CONTROLS AND SETTINGS 40Hz 250Hz Low Pass Filter Control LPF (Low Pass Filter) Adjustment Using this control will attenuate all frequencies above the selected frequency, this limits the highest frequency your speaker(s) will play. The MODE switch should be set at “LPF”. Remote Port This is for the Remote Gain Control.
