9. REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

9.1 CHECKING FOR LEAKS

Infinity kayaks feature inflatable chambers encased in a tough
Nylon fabric outer shell for superior durability. However, if you
suspect a chamber has suffered damage and is leaking, you
should check for punctures.
NOTICE - Before removing inflatable chambers to check for
punctures, ensure all valves are fully tightened. Sometimes loose
valves can leak. Reinflate and check again.
To check the inflatable chambers for damage, deflate the kayak
and unzip the outer fabric shell.
WARNING - DO NOT UNZIP THE OUTER FABRIC SHELL
!
WHILST THE KAYAK IS FULLY INFLATED.
1 Remove the suspect inflation chambers and check for obvious
holes. If there are no holes visible, there may be small pinholes
present.
2 To check for pinholes, inflate the chamber, submerge in water
and look for air bubbles escaping.
3 Alternatively, cover in soapy water and look for bubbles made
by the escaping air. If using this method, be sure to fully rinse
and dry the chamber before repairing.
4 Repair small holes and tears in the inflatable bladders with the
included repair kit.
