The Omnifi Digital Media Player is a companion product that integrates perfectly with your Omnifi Digital Media Streamer. The Omnifi DMP1 uses a hard disk drive mounted in your car to provide all of your digital media at the touch of a finger.

Your Omnifi is powered by an integrated, easy-to-use software application called SimpleCenter. For simplicity, in this chapter we are calling all these features as "playing music". Don't let this fool you, as you use Omnifi you will see it can do so much more than just play music.
When you press the power button, your Omnifi will return to its last functional state before you turned it off. For example, if Omnifi was playing a song, it will return to the point in the song when it was turned off, but in a paused state.
7 – Previous Track Press this button during the first 4 seconds of a track to play the previous track. After Omnifi plays 4 seconds of a track, pressing this button causes Omnifi to restart playback of the current track.

Media Library. 15 – Favorites The Favorites list is located at the top level of the Omnifi interface. Press the Home button and then the Navigate Left button to move the display to the top level.The FAVORITES function (activated by pressing the FAV button) allows you to make make a playlist on your Omnifi Digital Media Streamer.
Playing Presets using the Remote Control To play a preset assigned to a specific numbered button, press that numbered PRESET button momentarily. Omnifi will begin to play the first song in the playlist assigned to that preset number. 21 – 4-Way Navigation Button-set The UP and DOWN ARROW buttons on the remote activate scrolling on the Omnifi interface.

Omnifi also allows you to configure settings, build a Favorites Playlist, and program Presets. Items shown on the Omnifi display at the Media Library level match the contents of the left pane in the Media Library tab of your SimpleCenter (All Media, Artists, Artist/Album, Albums, Genres, Playlists) PC application.
Omnifi displays the screen similar to figure 17. The top line of the Omnifi display shows the artist and the track name. If these names are too long to display completely the text will scroll to the left after a few seconds.

USING SIMPLECENTER Playlists The fourth tab in the Media Library window is Playlists. You can organize media in your Media Library into playlists and playlist groups, which are customized collections of media that you create. For example, you can group all of your favorite dance songs into a Dance Fever or build playlists for certain occasions, such as Christmas Dinner.
