    INTRODUCTION The GPS is a navigation device that receives information from GPS satellites and then will display a map on the screen for you to follow. Simply type in your destination and it will plot the course for you. It also can find points of interests such as gas stations, restaurants, airports, local sites, businesses and many more things.

    INSTALLATION Install the mounting bracket onto the suction mounting arm by slipping it over the tabs and then sliding it to lock into place. Find a smooth mounting surface inside the vehicle for the display monitor where it can be easily seen, but not in a position where it can obstruct your vision when driving.

    OPERATION Testing the System Make sure the red light for the 12-volt DC power adapter/charger is on. Turn the power on for the display monitor. With the park brake applied, turn the vehicle ignition switch to the ON position. Shift the vehicle in reverse to power the transmitter. The reverse camera image should display on the screen.
  • Page 7 This message will pop up. Press “Yes” to go to the “Navi Menu” or “No” to stay at the same screen. This will take you to the “Navi Menu”. Press “Go to”. NOTE: If you press the “Exit” button, this message will pop up. Press “Yes” to exit the Navigation System, or “No”...

Press the state that you want to highlight it, and then press the “Next” button. After the first use it will default back to the last state selected.

After entering a road, you can enter an address by pressing on the highlighted area and using the keyboard. You can also enter a crossroad the same way.     EXPLORING THE SCREENS At power up, the Peak screen will appear while loading, followed by the “Main Menu”. Navigation When entering the “Navigation” system for the first time, the “System Attention” screen will appear. Read the statement and press the “Accept” button to enter the “Navigation” system or the “Decline” button to exit the system.
  • Page 12 Legend Map Button Exit Button Besides the three main buttons on this screen (“Go to”, “Map Options” and “Settings”), you can also press: • The “Map” button to go to the “Navi Map” screen. • The “Exit” button to exit “Navigation” and go back to the “Main Menu”. NOTE: Before using the navigation system for the first time, you may want to adjust the settings for your personal preferences.

  • Page 15 You can press the “On Map” button to verify the location entered, or press the “OK” button to enter the “Route Plan” screen. Press the “Go” button to start navigating or press the “Simulate” button to simulate the route you will take.
  • Page 16 Near Current Position Pressing the “Near Current Position” button brings up a point of interest category list consisting of 22 categories. Select your desired category. A list of results matching your category, including their address and distance from your current location, will appear, arranged from closest to farthest. From the points of interest list, you can scroll and select your desired item, click in the white “Name”...
  • Page 17 Recent Destinations Press the “Recent Destinations” button to display a list of destinations recently entered. Selecting the desired destination takes you to the “Route Plan” screen, with the selected location as your end point. Coordinates Press the “Coordinates” button to display the “Coordinates” screen. Here, you can enter the coordinates of your desired destination.
  • Page 18 Navigating Route Plan From the “Route Plan” screen, you have several options. • Press the “Add” or “Delete” button to add waypoints to or remove waypoints from your route.   • Page 20 Terminate Pressing “Terminate” will end the current navigation and take you back to the “Navi Menu”. Route Information The “Route Information” screen provides you with details about your route including starting point, destination point, distance, and all turns and roads you will take (including distance between turns). Use the small arrow buttons to scroll through waypoints, if applicable, and use the large arrow buttons to scroll through the route to your destination.

Language Pressing the “Language” button allows you to choose the language of the text in the Navigation screens and the language spoken during navigation. Press the “OK” button to confirm.   • Page 22 Day/Night Mode This screen allows you to choose between automatic and manual setting of “Day/Night” mode. The map will have different color schemes in these two modes. Night With “Manually” highlighted, you can switch between “Night” and “Day” modes by pressing the arrow buttons.
  • Page 23 GPS Status This button allows you to view information about the unit, including whether the unit is active (fixed position) or inactive (no fixed position), the date/time, vehicle speed, altitude, HDOP, the number and position of satellites the unit detects, and the current latitude and longitude.     Photo The “Photo” function allows you to view photos (JPG and BMP format) from an SD card. Insert your memory card into the SD card slot. From the “Main Menu”, press the “Photo” button. The available photos or folders will appear as buttons. Double-tap the button you want to open.

    Calibration This screen allows you to recalibrate the touch screen. With the stylus, firmly tap the center of the crosslines. The crosslines will move around the screen; continue pressing the center of the crosslines. The screen will close automatically when the touch screen is calibrated.
