4. Important Safety Warning (SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS)
Caution! to prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, install in a temperature and humid-
ity controlled indoor area free of conductive contaminants. (see the specifications for the
acceptable temperature and humidity range.)
Caution! to reduce the risk of overheating the Speakers, do not cover the Speakers
cooling vents and avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight or installing the unit near heat
emitting appliances such as space heaters or furnaces.
Caution! do not attach non-computer-related items, such as medical equipment, life-
support equipment, microwave ovens, or vacuum cleaners to Speakers. caution! do not
plug the Speakers input into its own output.
Caution! do not allow liquids or any foreign object to enter the Speakers. do not place
beverages or any other liquid-containing vessels on or near the unit.
Caution! in the event of an emergency, press the off button and disconnect the power
cord from the ac power supply to properly disable the Speakers. attention hazardous
through electric shock. also with disconnection of this unit from the mains. Unplug this
apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Caution! servicing of speakers should be performed or supervised by personnel knowl-
edgeable of speakers and the required precautions. keep unauthorized personnel away
from batteries.
Caution! unplug the Speakers prior to cleaning and do not use liquid or spray detergent.
Caution! Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A
polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has
two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided
for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
Caution! Protect the power cord from being waled on or pinched particularly at plugs
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
Caution! Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
Caution! Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufac-
turer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/
apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
Caution! Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the
apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged
liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been
exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
caution! AC power notes:
1) Make sure that the power supply is proper and never handle the power cord or
its plug with wet hands when plugging into, or unplugging from, an outlet.
2) Ensure that the main power switch is in the "OFF position before connecting the
AC power cord to the power supply to avoid damage to the system.
3) A damaged power cord can easily cause an electric shock or fire hazard. Never
use a power cord after it has been damaged.
