High-Speed Data Throughput
Through major improvements to
the hardware, software and firmware
responsible for processing print image data,
the Epson STYLUS PRO 400 Series exhibits
significantly faster print times than earlier
Epson STYLUS PRO printers. In some
cases print times have been reduced by
almost 64 per cent. For many production
environments where print time is a valuable
commodity, this dramatic reduction can
deliver substantial time savings and greater
revenue opportunities.
Wider Print Head
Adding significantly to the Epson STYLUS
PRO 400 Series' high speed capabilities is a
one-inch wide print head with a horizontal by
vertical configuration of 180 x 8 ink nozzles.
In stark comparison to earlier models – with
only 96 nozzles per colour – the new print
head has the ability to cover a greater
printable area for each pass, which greatly
improves print speed.
Integration
The Epson STYLUS PRO 400 Series printers are fully supported by a wide choice of third party RIP software and
comprehensive software utilities, providing complete control over the final printed output and seamless
integration into many digital printing workflows.
Connectivity
Bringing the power of the Epson STYLUS PRO 400 Series to a range of environments is achieved by built-in
interfaces and support for a variety of Windows
high-speed USB 2.0 (compatible with USB 1.1) and FireWire IEEE 1394 interfaces, this series of advanced
printers features an optional high speed Type B Ethernet card (10/100 BaseTX).
