To help you understand and operate its functionality, please become familiar with the following terms and functions. Hard Disk A hard disk drive is built in to the DVR to enable you to record and store programming so you no longer need to record to videotapes.

This allows you to: Pause the programme you are watching (for up to 30 minutes), then continue watching the programme from exactly the same point at which you left.
