Assembly Inserting the Rear Axle Left Hand Side Rear axle Vehicle body #12 washers Turn the vehicle body over. Remove the locknut and one #12 washer from the axle. Slide the rear axle through the hole near the rear of the vehicle body.
Assembling the Rear Wheel Left Hand Side Rear axle Vehicle body Remove the locknut and one #12 washer from the axle. Place the rear wheel on the rear axle (left hand side). Place the hubcap onto the rear axle. Fit into the wheel. Place the #12 washer onto the rear axle.
Assembling the Drive Wheel Right Hand Side Rear axle With the vehicle body turned over, place the drive wheel on the rear axle (right hand side). Interlock the gears on the wheel and vehicle body. Place the hubcap onto the rear axle. Fit into the wheel Place the #12 washer onto the rear axle.
Assembling the Wheels Front Axle Remove the locknut from the axle and take a #10 washer off. Locate a wheel marked Front on the inside and slide it into the axle. Place the hubcap onto the axle. Place the #10 washer back onto axle. Place the locknut back on the axle and tighten with the spanner.
Inserting Batteries for Sound CAUTION! The following safety hazards may result in personal injury to the user of the Avigo Quad: Contact or exposure to battery leakage (lead acid) may cause personal injury. If contact or exposure occurs immediately call your physician.
Inserting the Handlebar Insert the handlebar steering column through the opening in the front of the vehicle body Slightly lift the front end of the vehicle body up. Check to ensure the steering column fit through the hole in the steering linkage. Push on the handlebar and snap into place. Place a #10 washer onto the steering rod. Insert the cotter pin into the hole in the steering rod.
Connecting the Vehicle Battery Remove screws. Remove battery cover. Plug the black power connector to the black battery terminal. Replace battery cover and screws. Attaching the Seat Important! Before first use, charge the battery before attaching the seat (see page 10: Use and pages 13 - 17: Maintenance). Fit the tabs on the front of the seat into the slots.
Charging the Battery Important! Before using the Avigo Quad for the first time the battery needs to be charged for 8 to 10 hours, no more than 20. Only an adult who has read and understands the safety warnings should handle, charge or recharge of the battery (see Maintenance, Battery page 13 - 17). Note: It is not necessary to remove the battery from the vehicle for charging.
User Requirements The suitable age range for a child using the Avigo Quad is 3+ years old. The max. weight of the child is 50 lbs (22.7kg). Before using the Avigo Quad the child should understand the vehicle controls and safety issues. They must also demonstrate the capability to handle the vehicle and operate its controls.
Using the Controls Power Switch: The power switch turns the vehicle on and off. Forward and Reverse Switch: The switch changes the direction the vehicle moves from forward to reverse. Sound Button: Press to plays sounds. Foot Pedal: The foot pedal applies power (speed) the vehicle. Operating the Vehicle Child must be seated securely.
Maintenance General The vehicle should be checked for damage, missing or badly worn parts before each use. • Check the tightness of the fasteners before each use. • Check the tightness of the wheel locknuts. Note: If the wheel locknuts are not tight the drive wheel will not engage and the vehicle will not run.

Battery Fuse The Kid Trax Toys 6V battery features a thermal fuse with a reset fuse that will automatically trip and cut all power to the vehicle if the motor, electric system or battery is overloaded. The fuse will reset and power will be restored after the unit is turned off and turned on again.
