English Remote Control Turns the main unit on or off. VOL - / VOL + Adjusts the volume. MUTE Mutes the sound. MODE Selects a sound mode from MUSIC, MOVIE, SURROUND, or NEWS. SYNC - / SYNC + Adjusts the audio output delay times if the video playback is slower than the audio output in HDMI connection.
English INSTALLATION Mounting the Main Unit On a Shelf You can use the cradle stand to install the main unit on a shelf. Insert the head of the cradle stand into the slots in the soundbar. Place the assembled main unit on a flat surface.
English On the Wall You can mount the main unit on a wall. Attach the supplied wall mount sheet to the wall as horizontally as possible. Align the bracket with the points on the sheet as shown below. Secure the bracket with 4 screws at the marked points. Screws (not supplied) Remove the sheet from the wall. Attach the soundbar to the brackets by sliding the slots in its feet onto the head of the installed wall mount bracket.
English Caution! • D o not hang onto the installed main unit and avoid any impact to the main unit. • S ecure the main unit firmly to the wall so that it does not fall off. If the main unit falls off, it may result in an injury, or in damage to the product. • W hen the main unit is installed on a wall, ensure that the connecting cables are well out of reach of children, since pulling them may cause the unit to fall. Installing the Remote Control Battery T o remove the battery cover, push the protruding edge of the cover as shown. P lace the battery correctly in the battery holder. P ush the battery cover back into its original position. Note: • Use only one CR2025 (3 V) lithium battery.
English Installing the Wireless Subwoofer Connect the power cord with the main unit DC IN jack and then plug it into a power outlet. C onnect the DC power supply into the subwoofer. DC Power Supply P lug the AC power cord of the subwoofer into a power outlet.
English Pairing the Wireless Subwoofer With the Main Unit When the soundbar system is manufactured, the pairing is preset. Please pair the subwoofer with the main unit by following the procedure below if interference occurs or if pairing is interrupted. Pairing Button Press CONNECT on the back of the subwoofer. Subwoofer LED P ress and hold CONNECT on the remote control for 2 seconds until "CONNT" displays on the main unit. C heck the LED status.
English Positioning the Soundbar System Place the main unit at a height that is closest to ear-level in the listening area. P osition the main unit so that it is parallel to the listening area. P lace the subwoofer in the corner of the room or at least one meter away from the TV. Note: • Make sure not to place the main unit in an enclosed cabinet. • M ake sure to place the main unit on the top of a table, or to mount it securely onto a wall to prevent sound distortion.

English Connecting Audio and Video With HDMI HDMI Connection You can connect external devices like a gaming device, Blu-ray player, etc to the main unit using an HDMI cable (Type A, Version 1.3). With HDMI, you can enjoy high quality sound on the main unit and high quality images on an HDMI compatible TV or monitor. (The HDMI cable is supplied.) Connect the HDMI OUT jack of the external device with the HDMI IN-1 or HDMI IN-2 jack on the main unit. Connect the HDMI OUT jack on the main unit with the HDMI IN jack on an HDMI compatible TV or monitor. P ress O to turn on the main unit. P ress INPUT repeatedly to select the HDMI input mode from "HDMI1" or "HDMI2".
English Note: • Before connecting to an external device, make sure to turn the main unit off. • If there is noise or lines on the screen, please check the HDMI cable (length is generally limited to 4.5 m and use a high speed HDMI cable (version 1.3)). • I f you want to enjoy only the TV sound more plentifully, it is necessary to connect the audio output of the TV to the S/PDIF input of the main unit using an S/PDIF cable. (Refer to page19.) • W hen the connected device is not compatible with copyright protection technology (HDCP), the image and/or the sound from the HDMI TV OUT jack may be distorted or may not be outputted. In this case, check the specifications for the connected device. • I f a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the player, the HDMI device’s audio sound may be distorted or may not be outputted. Connecting to an Audio System S/PDIF Connection You can enjoy the sound from your device with a digital optical connection through your soundbar.
English Note: • The S/PDIF cable is not supplied. • When you connect S/PDIF, make sure to set the source device output mode to PCM. Refer to the user manual of the source device for more detailed information about the audio output settings. LINE IN Connection You can enjoy the sound from your portable audio player through the main unit. Line in cable (not supplied) C onnect the line out jack of the portable audio player with the LINE IN jack on the main unit. Turn the main unit on. Press INPUT repeatedly to select the LINE mode. Turn on the portable audio player and start it playing.
English OPERATION Setting the Sound Mode You can select a suitable sound mode for the connected device by using MODE. Press MODE repeatedly to select MUSIC, MOVIE, SURROUND, or NEWS. • MUSIC This sound mode is the best for listening to music, as you can enjoy the high fidelity sound experience. • MOVIE You can enjoy powerful sound in which low-pitched sound is emphasized, with enhanced presence.
English Selecting a Soundbar Input Mode Your soundbar acts as a device for switching between all the input sources that are plugged into it. • On the main unit Press INPUT repeatedly to select a soundbar input source. The corresponding input source will then be activated. • On the remote control When one of the source buttons on the remote control is pressed, the corresponding input will be activated.
