The password may not be popping up on the Targus Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard due to one of the following reasons:
1. Keyboard is not turned on – Ensure the keyboard is powered on. 2. Batteries are low or incorrectly inserted – Check that the supplied AAA batteries are installed correctly and have sufficient charge. The battery life indicator blinks twice every second when power is low. 3. Bluetooth is not enabled on the iPad or Mac – Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and the device is in pairing mode. 4. Keyboard is not in pairing mode – Press the "Connect" button on the keyboard to initiate pairing. 5. Device compatibility issue – The keyboard is compatible with iPad and Mac OS X v10.4 or later. Ensure the device meets these requirements. 6. Interference or range issue – Ensure the device is within the 33 feet (10 m) range and away from sources of interference.
If the issue persists, restart the keyboard and the device, then try pairing again.
