    Hardware Installation For low profile systems, install the spare low profile bracket now. General instructions for installing the card are provided below. Since the design of computer cases and motherboards vary, refer to your computer’s reference manual for further information, if needed. Static Electricity Discharge may permanently damage your system.

    Install the board and follow Microsoft procedures to install Windows accordingly. Reboot Windows. The DP eSATA 6Gb/s 2- Port PCIe is ready for use. For Existing Installation Install the board and boot up Windows. The DP eSATA 6Gb/s 2-Port PCIe is ready for use.
  • Page 5 Windows 7 (32-/64-bit) / Server 2008 R2 For New Installation Install the board and follow Microsoft procedures to install Windows accordingly. After the installation completes, insert the driver CD, click Start button, in the Search programs and files box, type D:\setup.exe, press Enter.

  • Page 7 For Existing Installation Install the board and boot up Windows. At the Found New Hardware window, click Cancel. Insert the driver CD, click the Start button, in the Start Search box, type D:\setup.exe, press Enter. (Change D: to match your CD-ROM drive letter) At the User Account Control window, click Allow.
  • Page 8 Install the board and follow Microsoft procedures to install Windows accordingly. At the Windows Setup screen, press F6 to install the RAID driver. When prompted, press S to specify the location of the driver. Insert the floppy disk, then press Enter. Select Asmedia 106x SATA Controller 64bit, then press Enter.
  • Page 9 Insert the driver CD, click Start, then Run. Type D:\setup.exe, click OK. (Change D: to match your CD-ROM drive letter) Click Next. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next. Click Finish. Click Yes to complete the installation. To Verify Windows Installation Use Device Manager to verify installation.

    Mac OS Installation The driver is built-in to Mac OS. Simply install the board and boot up the system, the DP eSATA 6Gb/s 2-Port PCIe adapter is ready for use. To Verify Mac OS Installation Click About This Mac, click More Info, then click System Report.
