Charging your TomTom ONE/XL Before you use your ONE/XL for the first time, it’s a good idea to charge it fully. The battery in your TomTom ONE/XL navigation device charges when you connect it to the car charger or to your computer. -

GPS reception When you first start your TomTom ONE/XL navigation device, the device may need a few minutes to determine your GPS position and show your current position on the map. In future, your position will be found much faster, usually within a few seconds. -

To turn the images off, tap Hide lane images in the Preferences menu. For other exits and intersections, your ONE/XL shows the lane you should take in the Status bar. To turn this guidance off, tap Change preferences in the Main Menu, then tap Status bar preferences. -

Your ONE/XL will look for another route from your current location to your destination. You can use Map Share to send and receive map corrections during the first year after the map’s release date. This means that one year after the release date, you will no longer be able to send or receive map corrections for that version of the map - You will still be able to make corrections to your own map for use on your own device. -
