Windows 2000 Users
If your PC is running Windows 2000, it is
recommended that you setup a new user
that shares the contents of it's folder with
all users of the PC. Music files stored by
this user can then be saved and accessed
by all users and the WI-FI radio.
1.
Logon to Windows 2000 as the
'administrator'.
2.
Open the control panel.
3.
When the control panel has opened,
double click the 'users and
passwords' icon.
4.
Select 'Add'.
5.
Enter a name for the new user, then
select 'Next'.
6.
Enter a password and confirm , then
select 'Next'. If you do not require a
password for this user select 'Next'.
7.
Select 'Others' and make sure that
'administrators' is selected. Select
'Finish'.
8.
Your new user account will now be
listed. Select 'OK' to close the window.
9.
Browse to where the folder is located on
your hard drive. You may need to
create a new folder for your media files
if one does not exist.
10.
Right click on the folder that you wish to
share and select 'Sharing'.
