To reset the margins to normal on the Sharp PA-3100 typewriter, follow these steps:

1. Turn on the typewriter.
2. Clear the existing margins:
- Hold down the `Code` key.
- While holding `Code`, press the `M Rel` (Margin Release) key to release any set margins.
3. Move the carriage:
- Use the space bar or backspace to move the carriage to the far left where you want the left margin.
4. Set the left margin:
- Hold down the `Code` key and press the `L Mar` (Left Margin) key.
5. Move the carriage to the right where you want the right margin.
6. Set the right margin:
- Hold down the `Code` key and press the `R Mar` (Right Margin) key.

The margins are now reset to the new positions. For standard or "normal" margins, set the left margin about 1 inch from the left edge and the right margin about 1 inch from the right edge of the paper.
