Inserting Symbols, Commands, and Special Characters

Symbols and commands that are available on the TI-83 Plus, as
well as special characters, can be inserted in any field that
accepts text entries. (You cannot insert symbols, commands, or
special characters in a fill-in-the-blank field that requires a
numeric answer, for example.) You insert them into the field the
same way you would insert them on the TI-83 Plus home screen.
Some examples include the following.
• Symbols that are second functions of the TI-83 Plus keys

• Commands that are accessed from the MATH menu (e.g.,
