Getting started Android™ – what and why? Your Xperia™ from Sony runs on the Android platform. Android devices can perform many of the same functions as a computer and you can customise them to your own needs. For example, you can add and delete applications, or enhance existing applications to improve functionality.

To set up the Face Unlock feature From your Home screen, tap > Settings > Security > Screen lock. Tap Face Unlock, then follow the instructions in your device to capture your face. After your face is successfully captured, tap Continue. Select a backup lock method and follow the instructions in the device to complete the setup.
To disable the screen unlock PIN From your Home screen, tap > Settings > Security > Screen lock. Enter your PIN, then tap Next. Tap Swipe. To create a screen lock password From your Home screen, tap > Settings > Security > Screen lock > Password.
