To sort tracking (Trac) on a Philips VR620 when it stops the tape from playing, follow these steps:
1. Enter the service test program (see chapter 5.2 Service test program). 2. Go to step 03 in the service test program to activate manual tracking. 3. Use the UP/DOWN keys to manually adjust tracking during PLAY mode. 4. Watch the tape sync pulse move to the left relative to the TRIV signal. 5. Stop adjusting when the TRIV signal reduces to 1/2 to 2/3 of its maximum amplitude by pressing the normal play button. 6. The recorder will hold this tracking position until step 03 is exited.
Note: This adjustment only works if the X-distance is correctly set.
