THE AP4000EX WITHOUT AN ANTENNA WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMITTER
PORTION OF THE SYSTEM. SUCH DAMAGE WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY.
ANTENNA CONNECTION
1. If the existing car radio antenna is used, disconnect the vehicle's radio antenna cable from the radio. Plug the vehicle
antenna into the terminal of the AP4000EX main unit marked CAR ANTENNA. Plug the supplied coax jumper cable
into the terminal of the AP4000EX marked CAR RADIO. Plug the remaining end of the coax jumper into the vehicle's
radio.
2. If the vehicle is equipped with a fully automatic power radio antenna and you wish to use this antenna for the
AP4000EX, and optional relay must be used to automatically raise and lower the antenna during the paging cycle.
