The failure to use a LG-approved battery and charger may increase the risk that your phone will overheat, catch fire, or explode, resulting in serious bodily injury, death, or property.

Insert the battery into the battery compartment in the back of the device, making sure the connectors align (see step in the following illustration). Gently press down to secure the battery (see step in the following illustration).

    2. Plug one end of the USB cable into the device's Charger/Accessory Port and the other end into an electrical outlet. The charge time varies depending upon the battery level. With the LG-approved Li-Ion battery, you can recharge the battery before it becomes completely rundown. Battery Temperature Protection Though extremely rare, if the battery becomes overheated, the phone will automatically turn off.

Most applications using this function will periodically query the GPS satellites for your current location; each query drains your battery. Do not wait until your battery is completely depleted before charging your device. Repeating this process of a complete discharge and recharge can over time reduce the storage capacity of any battery.

    Device Basics Using the Notifications Panel Notification icons report the arrival of new messages, calendar events, alarms, as well as ongoing events, such as when you are on a call. When you receive a notification, text appears briefly and the notification icon will be displayed in the Status Bar.

    Device Basics Changing the Screen Orientation This device is capable of changing the orientation of screen content when the orientation of the device itself has changed. The device’s built-in accelerometer senses movement and changes its angle/ orientation. Note that some of the screens, applications and widgets do not support orientation changes. The automatic screen orientation feature can be manually enabled to change the orientation for all enabled screens when rotation is detected.

To manually display the keyboard, simply touch a text field where you want to enter text. There are two types of methods that you can use: Android keyboard and Swype.
