Frequency of speed camera updates

Your Speed Cameras service is constantly being updated unless the connection to the TomTom
server is lost.
You can see if the service is currently receiving updates from the TomTom server by looking at the
colour of the speed camera symbols in the Driving View:
Your Speed Cameras service may not be receiving updates from TomTom due to one or more of the
following reasons:
Mobile camera hotspot
These are areas in which there have been many reports of mobile speed
cameras being used.
Average speed cameras - start of zone warning.
You get a warning every 200 metres when you are driving in the average
speed zone. If you drive at or below the speed limit no warning sound is
given. If you drive above the speed limit you hear a warning sound.
Average speed cameras - end of zone warning.
Accident blackspot
These are areas where there have been many accidents.
Ungated level crossing
When the Speed Cameras service is receiving updates from TomTom, the
'distance to camera' part of the camera alert symbol is blue and the symbol
shown on your route is also blue.
When the Speed Cameras service is not able to receive updates from the
TomTom server, the 'distance to camera' part of the camera alert symbol is
grey and the symbol shown on your route is black.
