Hardware / Software Installation Hardware Installation Please refer to the following steps. ☆ If your mainboard has any onboard VGA capability, disable it before installation. Shut down the computer and remove the computer case. Remove any existing graphics card on your mainboard. Press AGP interface card into the AGP slot firmly and make sure it is fully installed.

    Hardware Installation Video Input & Video Output (VIVO Cable) You can use the S-Video connector to send and receive video signals to and from video devices that use standard AV cables such as Video Cam Recorders or DVD Players. However, you must use the VIVO cable which is supplied in the packaging when your card supports Video Input, Video Output functionality.

    Hardware Installation (AV-Out/ S-Out & (HDTV Cable) HDTV AV-Out x 3) Note: If your card supports HDTV Output functionality and you plan to use an HDTV display device, you must use the HDTV Cable supplied in the packaging. You can only connect up to one display device to the HDTV Cable at one time.

    Software Installation Software Installation ☆ The screens and images are only for general reference. The version of the screens you received with your software may vary slightly. Place the Setup CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The auto-run program will automatically execute and display the main screen (as shown above). Use your left mouse button to click on any of the option buttons to execute one of the functions as described below.

    Software Installation A. Install NVIDIA Driver The NVIDIA Driver is the official nVIDIA driver. When you click this button, the program will automatically detect your operating system version and begin the installation procedure. This driver will optimize and enhance your video graphics.
  • Page 22 Software Installation Step 3 This screen signals the completion of the installation. Select “No” to restart your computer at a later time. Then press “Finish”. Step 4 This is the driver of VIVO function. Install only for your VGA card has VIVO function.

    Software Installation B. DirectX Installation DirectX is a set of Multimedia libraries developed by Microsoft. By using the DirectX software you can enhance your system providing advanced multimedia features. The latest DirectX version brings you the most recent 3D technology, supporting most on-line games and multimedia applications.

This section will describe the video card/ display configurations using, ® as an example, a PC 6600 video card with a Windows XP operating system. This section only provides general information for each screen. Access the nVIDIA website for additional information and tutorials on configuring the nView system.

And the “Horizontal span”, “Clone”, “Vertical span” and “Dualview” radial buttons will be selectable. This step configures multiple display options.
  • Page 30 Software Installation 7. Choose the “Clone” radial button to display an exact copy of your screen in each of the two displays. 8. Click the “Horizontal span” radial button to split your screen horizontally, placing one half in one display and the other half in the other.
