BEFORE USE

Remove all packaging from the fondue and pan including the items inside the pan.
Before you use fondue for the first time, we recommend that you wipe the inner surface of the
pan, fondue forks, outside of the fondue fryer with a slightly damp cloth.
Dry thoroughly -this will remove any residue from the manufacturing process.
Ensure the surface of the cooking plate is dry before use.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

When using oil add the required amount of oil to the bowl, ensuring that this level is between the
min and max levels marked on the inside bowl. Always put the fork ring onto the pan before
switching on.
We recommend that you use a liquid oil which is suitable for fondue frying.
Check the label on the bottle. Solid fat is not recommended for use with this fondue.
When using the fondue for heating cheese: add the cheese and other ingredients to the pan and
place the fork ring onto the pan.
Place the pan onto the fondue cooking plate then plug in the appliance to the power supply.
Adjust the temperature control to the required setting.
When the fondue is switched on, the ambience light is on, acting as a "power on" indicator light.
When the fondue is switched on the thermostat will cycle on and off during use to keep the food
in the pan at an approximately constant temperature. You will hear a clicking sound as the
thermostat switches on and off.
When using the fondue be careful when taking food out of the hot pan and check that all food is
cooked thoroughly, in particular meat foods.
When you have finished using the fondue allow the pan and appliance to cool down before
moving it.
Warning :
Ensure the food is thoroughly cooked inside and out.
Always unplug the fondue after use. Never leave the appliance switched plugged in after use.
Do not use this appliance as a room heater.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
The handle of the pan will get hot during use so always use a kitchen glove (gauntlet) if the pan
must be moved in an emergency situation.
CLEANING
Before cleaning, unplug and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
Wipe the Fondue with a warm damp cloth ensuring no moisture, oil or grease gets inside the
electrical appliance. Do not immerse the electrical appliance in any liquid!!
The Pan and Fondue Forks may be immersed in hot soapy water, we do not recommend dish
washing these items.
Do not clean any of the appliance with any strong detergents, abrasive cleaners, pads or steel
wool, as this will damage the surfaces.
