    Charging the Battery • Your Power Wheels thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is a self-resetting safety device which automatically “trips” and shuts down operation of the vehicle if the vehicle is overloaded or the driving conditions too severe. Once a fuse has “tripped”, remove your foot from the pedal (or release the button on the handlebar or steering wheel) and wait approximately 25 seconds before operating the vehicle again.

  • Page 11 Charging the Battery • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet. Note: Use the charger only in a wall outlet. Do not plug the charger into a ceiling outlet. If power fl ow to the wall outlet is controlled by a switch, make sure the switch is ON.
  • Page 12 If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, fl ush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician.
