6. Monitor the DVD-V8000 display while the firmware update is installed.
The initial message changes to "Erase" as the firmware update begins.
The message changes to "Write" when the new firmware is being saved to the player.
The message changes to "DL OK" when the firmware update is complete.
7. Remove the firmware update disc.
To confirm that the DVD-V8000 firmware is updated, follow the instructions below. For more
information, refer to the section entitled, "Confirming the Firmware Version" (Page 79) in the DVD-
V8000 Operating Instructions.
Follow the step-by-step instructions below to check the firmware version on your DVD-V8000.
1. Press the SETUP button to display the Setup Menu.
2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight Initial Settings on the menu.
3. Press the ENTER button to access the Initial Settings submenu.
