WARNING: Beforebeginninginstallation,placethe
tractoron a firm and levelsurface,set the parkingbrake,
placethe PTOin the disengaged(OFF) position,stop the
tractor'sengineand removethe ignitionkey to prevent
unintendedstarting.
WARNING:Cuttingbladesare sharp.Alwaysprotect
handsby wearingheavy leatherwork glovesto grasp
blades.

Gentlyflip the deck overto exposeits underside.

Placea block of woodbetweenthe deck housingbaffle and
the cuttingbladeto act as a stabilizer, t hen usea wrenchto
removethe hexflangenutthat secureseachbladeto its spindle
assembly. See Fig. 1-2.
IMPORTANT:The hexflangenuts havea right-handed (normal)
threadpattern.DoNOT attemptto force the nuts in the opposite
direction.Doingso may damagethe nut.

Replacethe bladeswith the bladesincludedin the kit. Be sureto
installeachblade with theside marked"Bottom" (or with a part
numberstampedin it) facingthe groundwhenthe moweris in
the operatingposition.
IMPORTANT:Use a torquewrenchto tighteneach bladespindle'shex
flangenut to between70 ft-lb and 90 if-lb.
Removethe cuttingdeck from beneaththe tractoras instructed
in your tractor'sOperator'sManual.
