Timer
This pad performs the following functions:

[] It can be used as a hold setting after defrosting.
How to Use as a Minute Timer
The Timer operates without microwave energy.
R Press TIMER.
[] Enter the (]mount of time you want to count down.
Press TIMER(]gain to initi(]te the fe(]ture. When the time is up, the timer will sign(]l.
How to Set a delay start for Time Defrost
H PressAUTO DEFROST (]nd select food weight, or press TIMEDEFROST (]nd
enter defrosting time.
[] Press START
N Press TIMER.
[] Enter the (]mount of time you w(]nt the oven to hold.

Definition
Arcing is the microw(]ve term for sp(]rks in the oven. Arcing is c(]used by:
[] met(]l or foil touching the side of the oven.
[] foil that is not molded to food (upturned edges (]ct like (]ntenn(]s).
[] met(]l such (]s twist-ties, poultry pins, gold-rimmed dishes.
[] recycled p(]per towels cont(]ining sm(]ll met(]l pieces.
Covers hold in moisture, (]llow for more even he(]ting (]nd reduce cooking time. Venting pl(]stic wr(]p
or covering with w(]x p(]per (]llows excess ste(]m to esc(]pe.
In (] regul(]r oven, you shield chicken bre(]sts or b(]ked foods to prevent over-browning. When
microw(]ving, you use sm(]ll strips of foil to shield thin p(]rts, such (]s the tips of wings (]nd legs
on poultry, which would cook before I(]rger p(]rts.
When you cook with regul(]r ovens, foods such (]s ro(]sts or c(]kes (]re (]llowed to st(]nd to finish cooking
or to set. St(]nding time is especi(]lly import(]nt in microw(]ve cooking. Note th(]t (] microw(]ved c(]ke
is not pl(]ced on (] cooling r(]ck.
After covering (] dish with pl(]stic wr(]p, you vent the pl(]stic wr(]p by turning b(]ck one corner so
excess ste(]m c(]n esc(]pe.
