USING CHANNEL SEARCH/SKIP
To Search for Channels and Save in Memory
Channel Searchallows theTV to fmd active channels inthe selectedTV/CATV band
and save those channels in memoryfor subsequentchannel up/downscanning.Usually
you use channel search only once, when you fLrSt i nstall the TV. You may need to use
channelsearch again if you change your TV/CA'rVbandselection.
To Use Channel Search 4. PressMEMORY to save number of

1. Select the lowest channel in your
TV/CATV band selection. Channel 2
for TV band. Channel 1 for STD,
HRC or IRC band.
2. Press SKIP repeatedly until the
SEARCH option is selected.
3. Press CHANNEL UP to activate
search operation. Channel numbers
flash on the screen until an active
channel is found and the search stops.

number changes each time MEM-
ORY is pressed. The number is
saved when the channel number is
shown in green color. Channel num-
bers shown in red color are not saved
in memory.
Repeat steps 2-4 until you have
found all active channels in your se-
lected TV/CATV band.
NOTE: You may have to use chan-
nel search again if power is inter-
rupted to the TV because of a power
failure, etc.
To Skip for Favorite Channel Scanning
Channels saved in memory by using the channel search feature described above, may
be used with Channel Up/Down and channel skip to provide Favorite Channel Scan-
ning. The TV will select only Favorite Channels, so you can sequence rapidly through
those channels. Channel scanning allows you to preview each channel before selecting
the program you want to watch,
To Use Channel Skip

Press SKIP repeatedly until the SKIP
option is selected.
Press CHANNEL Up!Down repeat-
edly to scan through channels pre-
viously saved in the memory of the
TV.
NOTE: You only have to select
SKIP once for Favorite Channel
Scanning. The TV remembers it is in
SKIP mode even if it is turned off
then turned on again. You may have
to select the SKIP mode again if
power is interrupted to the TV be-
cause of a power failure, etc.
