26 On.3creen Status D isplays
An on-screenstatusdisplay, which includesthe current time, chan-
nel,and other information(see illustrationof the statusdisplay at
right),will appearwhen you pressthe EXIT/STATUSbu_on or
certain functionbuttons.The contentsof the statusdisplay may
vary.
ON SCREEN MODE ON:
• Whenever you pressthe PLAY• button or the STOP • button
to stop playback, s ome of the contents of the statusdisplaywill
appearfor fNe seconds.
ON SCREEN MODE COUNTER:
• The tape counter will appear on-screenat all times.Whenever
you press the PLAY • button or the STOP • button to stop
playback, s ome of the contentsof the statusdisplay will appear
for five seconds.After five seconds, o nlythe counter will remain
on the screen.
ON SCREEN MODE OFF:
• No statusdisplay will appear when you pressfunctionbuttons
or the EXIT/STATUS button.
To select a status display mode, follow these steps.
