Using your washer

4. (OPTIONAL STEP) Pour measured liquid fabric
softener into the liquid
fabric softener dispenser.
• Do not spill or drip
any fabric softener on
the clothes.
• Make sure you use
only liquid fabric softener
in this dispenser.
Dilute liquid fabdc softener by filling the dispenser
with warm water until
liquid reaches the
crossbar in the opening.
• Softener is added
automatically during
the rinse portion of
the cycle.
5. Close the washer lid.
6. Tum the Load Size selector to the correct setting
for your wash load and
the type of fabdc being
washed.
• Choose a load size
that allows the load to
move freely for best
fabric care. See the
"Loading" section.
• To change the load
size selection after the
washer starts filling,
first move the selector toReset (on some
models), then to the new load size.
7. Set the Temperature selector to the correct set-
ting for the type of fabric
and soils being washed.
• Use the warmest water
safe for fabric.
• Follow garment label instructions.
HOT: 130°F (54°C) or above.
- Whites and pastels.
- Heavy and greasy soils.
WARM: 90 ° to 110°F (32 ° to 44°C).
- Bright colors.
- Moderate to light soils.
COLD: 70 ° to 90°F (21° to 32°C).
- Colors that bleed or fade.
- Light soils.
• Some models have an electronic sensor control
that maintains a uniform water temperature.

section.
8. Set the Fabric selector (on some models) to the
desired agitation and spin speed for the type of
fabric being washed (see =Selecting a cycle and
time').
9. OPTIONS available on some models:
Extra Rinse selector
For an additional rinse and spin at the end of a
Normal wash cycle, set the Extra Rinse
selector to On.
Options selector
Turn the End of Cycle Signal On or Off, and the
Extra Rinse selector On or Off with this selector.
• Select the Extra Rinse option for an additional
rinse and spin at the end of a Normal wash
cycle.
• Set the End of Cycle Signal if you want your
washer to sound a signal when the wash cycle
is finished.
Delicate/Handwashables
cycle
Use this cycle to gently clean fine washables that
require delicate care. Tum the Cycle Control knob
to Delicate/Handwashables and set the Handwash
selector to On for the Handwashables cycle or to
Off for the Delicate cycle.
