Connecting the TV
CAUTION:
• Be sure to turn off the Player and equipment to be
connected before any connections are made.
• Read through the operation manual for the
equipment to be connected.
• Be sure that the colours of the connectors and
plugs match up when using a VIDEO/AUDIO cable.
• Be sure to keep the Player connection cables
separate from the TV antenna cable when you
install the Player, lest it should cause electrical
interference when you are watching television
programs.
• DTS audio cannot be produced with an analogue
connection.

The HDMI cable and SCART cable are not
supplied with the Player. Those cables are
commercially available.
Turning on the Player and TV/
Selecting the AV channel on TV
aTurn on the TV.
bTurn on the Player by pressing OPERATE.
• If connections have been made successfully, the
startup screen will appear on your TV screen.
cIf the startup screen does not automatically
appear, select the "AV" channel on your TV by
pressing the "AV" button on your TV's remote or
on your TV set.
Recheck all your connections.
