To ensure safe and proper operation of your tractor all parts and hardware you assemble must be tightened securely. Use the correct tools as necessary to insure proper tightness.

  • Page 11 OPERATION The operation of any tractor can result in foreign objects thrown into the eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields while operating your tractor or performing any adjustments or repairs. We recommend a wide vision safety mask over spectacles or standard safety glasses.
  • Page 12 OPERATION TO ADJUST GAUGE WHEELS (See Fig. 7) "ENGAGED" POSITION Gauge wheels are properly adjusted when they are slightly TTACHMENT off the ground when mower is at the desired cutting height in LIFT LEVER HIGH POSITION operating position.   • Page 13 OPERATION CAUTION: Alcohol blended fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or methanol) can attract moistu re wh ich leads to sepa- ration and formation of acids during storage. Acidic gas can damage the fuel system of an engine while in storage. To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be emptied before storage of 30 days or longer.
