Displaying multiple images at the same time lets you quickly find the image

Searching Images Using the Centrel B_al
Turning the control dial will display images in a line letting you quickly search
them. You can also jump by the shooting date (Scroll Display).
Choose an image.
If you set the camera to single image
playback and turn the _ dial quickly, the
images will display as shown on the left.
Turn the _ dial to choose an image.
Pressing the _ button restores single
image playback.
If you press the _v buttons during Scroll
Display, you can search images by the
shooting date.
