Prevents camera vibrations caused by the reflex mirror action which can
disturb shooting with super telephoto lenses or close-up (macro)
shooting. See page 106 for the mirror Iockup procedure.
C,Fn IV: Operation/Others
0: AF/AE Book
1: AE moeklAF
Convenient when you want to focus and meter separately. Press the
<-_(_> button to autofocus, and press the shutter button halfway to appby
AE lock.
2: AFtAF mock, no AE Book
Bnthe AI Servo AF mode, you can press the <-)(_ > button to stop the AF
operation momentari}y. This prevents the AF from being thrown off by
any obstacle passing between the camera and subject. The exposure is
set at the moment the picture is taken.
3: AE/AF, no AE Boek
This is useful for subjects which keep moving and stopping repeatedly.
Bnthe AI Servo AF mode, you can press the <_> button to start or stop
the AI Servo AF operation. The exposure is set at the moment the
picture is taken. Thus, the optimum focusing and exposure will always
be achieved as you wait for the decisive moment.
When 1 or 3 is set, pressing the Remote Switch (p1205) halfl_vay Will not
work.
