50cm - 7.0 m(1.6 - 23 ft.) a tmaximum

1.4 - 3.0 m(4.6 - 9.8 ft.) a tmaximum
telephoto

Raisethe ash.
Choose

After pressing

or turn the ![i_:_;: dial to choose

Once set, }- will appear
on the screen.
The flash is lowered. Raise the flash manually.
The camera
can detect
areas in the scene,
such as faces
or backgrounds,
that are too bright or dark and automatically
adjust them to the optimum
brightness
when shooting.
Also, when the overall
image is lacking in contrast,
the camera
will automatically
correct the image for a sharper
impression
when shooting.
Choose [i=Contrast].
Press the
MENU
button
to choose
[i-
Contrast]
in the O
tab, then press the '4_
buttons
to choose
[Auto].
Once set, _l
will appear
on the screen.
