FRONT WHEEL TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT
Front w;_eel toe-in is required f0rpropersteedng

Toe-in was set at the factory and adjustment
should not be
necessary
If parts tn the front axis or steering mechanism
have been replaced or damaged,
cheek toe-in and adjust
if necessary.
TO CHECK TQE-IN (See Fig 28) -

Posttion front wheels straight ahead
Measure distance between wheels at front and rear o!
tires (dimensions
"A" and "B")
FrOnt dimension
"A" should be 1/8" to 1/4" less than
rear dimension "B"
TO ADJUST TOE-IN (See Figs. 28 and 29) -
Loosen jam nuts at adjustment
sleeves on tie rod.
Adjust lie rod untit dimension "A" is 1t8" to 1/4" less than
dimension "B".
Tighten jam nuts securely.

Block up axle securely.
Remove axle cover, retaining rlngend washers to allow
wheel removal
Repair tlre and reassembie_
Replace washers and snap retaining ring securely in
axle groove
Reptace axle cover

REAR WHEEL -
Block rear axle securely
Remove five (5) hub belts Io allow wheel removal.
Repair tire and reassemble.
Replace and tighten hub
bolts securely
TO START ENGINE WITH A WEAK BATTERY
(See Fig. 31)

ate explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame
and smoking materials away from bat-
terles.

BATTERY TO START OTHER VEHICLES
'TO ATTACH JUMPER CABLES -
Connect each end of the RED cable Io the POSITIVE
(+) termfnal of each battery, taking care not to short
against chassis _
Connect one end of the BLACK cable Io the NEGA-
TIVE (-) terminal of fully charged battery
Connect the elher end of the BLACK cable to good
CHASSIS GROUND,
away from fuel tank and battery,
TO REMOVE CABLES, REVERSE
ORDER -
BLACK cable first {rein chassis and then from the fully
charged battery
RED cable last from both batteries,
"POSITIVE"
