It will show the COM port the EPoX Printer adapter will be using.

  • Page 8 If your printer is already installed with its driver, please change the com port to the same BT-PA02A, and following the steps below: 1. By clicking the Start button, select Setting, and then click on Printers the printer setup window will be displayed.
  • Page 9 3. If your system is running Window 2000/XP, select the Ports tab. Choose the COM port that is being used by the BT-PA02A and press OK. You are done! If your system is running Window 98SE/ME, and select the Details tab. Choose the COM port that is being used by the BT-PA02A and press OK.

  • Page 13 This section will help you verify the connectivity of the BT-PA02A. 1. If you have more that one printer, please set the one with BT-PA02A as the default printer. Window 98SE/ME 2. Please double click the Bluetooth icon Bluetooth Places (Widcomm Bluetooth Software) window at your computer screen.

    BT-PA02A, then check the following: Make sure that the Cable Replacement icon turns to green before using the BT-PA02A. If the icon is not shown as green in cooler, then there is no Bluetooth wireless connection. Please refer to steps E. 4. & 5. Make sure the printer’s power is on.

  • Page 19 C. INSTALLATION DER PRINTER ADAPTER-HARDWARE Stecken Sie den EPoX USB Printer Adapter in die parallele Schnittstelle Ihres Druckers (siehe Abbildung unten). Dadurch wird Ihr Drucker Bluetooth-fähig. Stecken Sie den BT-PA02A in die parallele Schnittstelle des Druckers Achtung: Bitte benutzen Sie ausschließlich das mitgelieferte Original-Netzteil.

Notieren Sie sich diese Information; Sie werden sie später noch benötigen.
  • Page 22 D.2. Konfigurieren Sie den COM-Port des Druckers Wenn Sie den Druckertreiber noch nicht installiert haben, führen Sie die Installation jetzt durch. 1. Klicken Sie auf die Start–Schaltfläche in der Taskleiste, wählen Sie aus dem Menü Einstellungen und dann Drucker. Daraufhin erscheint das Installationsmenü für Drucker auf dem Bildschirm.

  • Page 24 Taskleiste und wählen Sie Einstellungen. Klicken Sie im folgenden Menü auf Drucker; das Konfigurationsfenster für Drucker öffnet sich. 2. Wählen Sie den Drucker, an den der Adapter BT-PA02A angeschlossen ist und klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Drucker-Symbol. Wählen Sie den Menüpunkt Eigenschaften aus dem Kontextmenü.
  • Page 25 3. Wählen Sie unter Windows 2000/XP den Tab Anschlüsse. Versehen Sie den COM-Port, den Sie vorher notiert haben, mit einem Häkchen und klicken Sie auf OK. Klicken Sie unter Window 98SE/ME auf den Reiter Details. Wählen Sie den COM-Port, den Sie vorhin notiert haben und klicken Sie auf OK.
  • Page 26 D.3: Wichtige Einstellungen Überprüfen Sie die Eigenschaften des Druckers, unabhängig davon, ob Sie einen Druckertreiber installiert haben oder nicht (Siehe oben). Klicken Sie unter Window 2000/XP auf den Reiter Anschlüsse und überprüfen Sie die folgenden Einstellungen: 1. Die Option Bidirektionale Unterstützung aktivieren darf nicht mit einem Haken versehen sein.
  • Page 27 3. Klicken Sie anschließend auf OK. Dadurch gelangen Sie zurück zum Hauptfenster der Eigenschaften Ihres Druckers. Klicken Sie zum Abschluß auf die Schaltfläche Übernehmen und anschließend auf OK. Wählen Sie unter dem Betriebssystem Windows 98SE/ME den Details-Tab. 1. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Spool-Einstellungen und deaktivieren Sie die Bidirektionale Unterstützung.
