TROUBLESHOOTING POINTS

CAUSE

CORRECTION
1. Check wiring, switches and connections, If not
corrected, contact Sears Service Department.
Mower blades will not
rotate
Poor grass discharge
1. Worn, bent or _oose blade.
2. Mower deck notlevel.
3. Build-up of grass, leaves, and trash under mower.
4. Bent blade mandrel.
1. Obstruction in clutch mechanism.
2. Mower drive belt out of adjustment.
3. Worn/damaged mower drive belt.
4. Frozen idter pulley.
5. Frozen blade mandrel.
1. Replaceblade. "lqghten b ladebolt.
2. Levelmowerdeck.
3. Cleanundersideofmowerhousing.
4. Replace blade mandrel.
1. Remove obstruction.
2. Adjust mower drive belt.
3. Replace mower drive belt.
4. Replace idler pulley.
5. Replace blade mandrel.

Battery will not charge

8. Mower drive belt worn or out of adjustment.
9. Blades improperly installed.
10. Improper blades used.
1. Switch is "OFF".
2, Bulb(s) burned out.
3, Faulty iight switch.
4. Loose or damaged wiring.
5, Blown fuse.

1. Bad battery cell(s).
2. Poor cable connections.
3. Faulty regulator (if so equipped).
4. FauLtyalternator.
1. Place throttle control in =FAST" position.
2. Shift to slower speed.
3. A_lowgrass to dry before mowing.
4. Level mower deck.
5. Check tires for proper air pressure.
6. Replace/sharpen blade. "f3ghtanblade boil
7. Clean underside of mower housing.
8. Replace/adjust mower drive belt.
9. Reinstail blades sharp edge down.
10. Replace with blades listed in this manual.
Turn switch "ON".
Replace bulb(s).
ChecK/replace light switch.
Check wiring and connections.
Replace fuse.
