Glossary Advanced Technology Attachment, is a disk drive implementation integrating the controller on the disk drive. Hard Disk Controller is a special-purpose chip and circuitry that directs and controls reading from and writing to a computer’s disk drive.

- Page 35 PC/104-Plus – COM-1460 Module RAM (Random Access Memory). Semiconductor-based memory that can be read-from and written-to by the microprocessor or other hardware devices. ROM stands for Read Only Memory. This memory can only be read-from but not written-to. SCSI SCSI stands for Small Computer System Interface. It is an I/O bus designed as a method for connecting several classes of peripherals to a host system without requiring modifications to generic hardware and software.
