Digital Tele-Converter
The focal length of the lens can be increased by approximately 1.5x or
approximately 2.0x. This enables a faster shutter speed and less chance of
camera shake than the zoom (including digital zoom) used by itself at the
same zoom factor. The images may appear coarse, however, depending on
the combination of recording pixel (p. 70) and digital tele-converter settings
used.
Choose [Digital Zoom].
Press the
MENU
button.
Press the 4)' buttons to choose the O
tab.
Press the ,_v buttons or turn the i!_i : _;dial
to choose [Digital Zoom].
Accept the setting.
Press the '_ buttons to choose a
magnification.
Pressing the
MENU
button will restore the
shooting screen.
The view will be enlarged and the zoom
factor will appear on the screen.
To return to standard digital zoom, choose
[Digital Zoom] and the [Standard] option.
A recording pixel setting of L or M1 will cause image deterioration (the zoom
factor will appear in blue),
