Questions and answers
Water level sensors - says to add water but it is full
The Magic Chef MCIM30SST water level sensor may indicate to add water even when the tank is full due to the following reasons:
1. Sensor Malfunction – The water level sensor may be faulty or obstructed, causing it to incorrectly detect the water level.
2. Improper Positioning – If the sensor or internal components are not positioned correctly, the machine may not register the actual water level.
3. Dirt or Deposits – Dirt, mineral deposits, or air bubbles in the water reservoir can interfere with sensor readings.
4. Electrical Issues – A wiring problem or loose connection might cause incorrect signals from the sensor.
To resolve this, ensure the sensor is clean, properly positioned, and free of obstructions. If the issue persists, a reset or inspection of internal wiring may be needed.
