Remove the battery cover from the remote control and place 2 x AAA batteries (Not supplied) inside the battery compartment, taking note of battery polarity, see diagram inside battery compartment. Replace battery cover firmly. Using the Remote Control. Point the Remote Control towards the front of the PVR.

    Getting started Switching on for the first time. Turn on the TV set. Turn on the PVR, the RED Led will indicate the PVR is in standby, this should then turn to GREEN indicating the PVR is now operational. If connected by the SCART connection, the PVR should automatically be selected.

    Channel Scan Automatic channel search. Press the “MENU” button to display the Main menu (Fig 4) Press the “UP” or “DOWN” (▲/▼) cursor buttons to select Channel Search Press “OK” to enter the sub menu.( Fig 5) Highlight “Search Type” and use the ►/◄ buttons to select “Auto Scan”.

    System Setting Many aspects of the PVR can be set to reflect your circumstances and preferences. The System menu is accessed from the Main menu. Press the “Menu” button and using the ▲/▼buttons select “SYSTEM SETTING” and press OK. The sub menu (Fig 7) will b e displayed. Fig 7 A/V Setting.

    Channel List (Fig 15). The Channel List shows a list of all the channels found during the channel search. From the list you can watch or listen (TV/Radio) to the selected channel. You may also delete unwanted channels or set a password to view them.

    Favourite List. This menu allows the user to store a list of Favourite Channels to make it easier to access them. With this PVR you may select up to five different lists, so each member of your family may select their own list.

    Changing Channels. There are four ways of Channel Selection – stepping through the channel list – selection by number – from the Channel schedule and using the on screen channel list. Stepping through the channel list. Press the P+ or P- to browse the channels available. Selection by number.

    Digital Teletext Many digital terrestrial TV channels not only broadcast pictures and sound, but also pages of information on the programmes, weather, news and many other topics. Some channels are given over entirely to digital teletext and carry no programme at all. When such a channel is selected, after a brief pause, they will usually display the opening page of information automatically.

    Record Operations (Fig 22, 23, 24). Before using the record options, please check the two tuners (TV/PVR tuner) connections on page 8 are correct. Watch one channel whilst recording another. The recorder will receive the digital signal from the PVR tuner, and the watching channel will receive the signal from the TV tuner.
  • Page 23 Time – Shifting (Pause Live Recording). If you are interrupted whilst watching a Live TV programme, you may “Pause” the programme and resume when the interruption has ceased. Press the “PAUSE” button once, when you wish to commence the programme, press “PLAY”, this will then continue the programme where you left it.

    HDD Installation Hard Disc Installation. Removal. Like any other mechanical device the HDD may fail at some time. It is possible to replace the HDD for another of the same capacity or a larger HDD (up to 500G bytes). Ensure the PVR is turned off and fully disconnected from any other apparatus. Place on a firm stable surface and Remove the screws as shown in Fig 26.
