Note: If you want to install the software on a different computer, you must first deactivate it on your computer. Choose
Help > Deactivate.
Register
Register your product to receive complimentary installation support, notifications of updates, and other services.
To register, follow the on-screen instructions in the Registration dialog box, which appears after you install and
activate the software.
If you postpone registration, you can register at any time by choosing Help > Online Registration.
Read me
The Read Me.html file for your product can be found on the installation DVD (and is also copied to the application
folder during product installation). This file provides valuable information about the following:
• System requirements
• Installing and uninstalling
• Activation and registration
• Font installation
• Troubleshooting
• Customer support
• Legal notices
Viewing the files installed with Fireworks
At some point you may need to view or access the files installed with Fireworks. During installation, Fireworks places
files in various locations on your system. It's important to understand why these files reside where they do. For more
information, see "Working with configuration files" on page 350.
Macintosh users should pay special attention to the format Fireworks uses to store the program and its default
configuration files. For more information, see "Viewing package contents (Macintosh only)" on page 352.
