InDesign CS2 uses the embedded profiles of placed RGB content. If the placed RGB
content does not have an embedded profile, InDesign CS2 uses the document's profile.
Colors created in Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2 match the color you see in
InDesign CS2.

Using the safe CMYK mode, all CMYK content uses the document CMYK profile. RGB content uses the
document RGB profile except for placed RGB content with embedded profiles.
When saving a file, InDesign CS2 embeds the document RGB and CMYK color profiles
and the Preserve Numbers (Ignore Linked) CMYK policy in the InDesign document.
That way, any Adobe Creative Suite 2 component has the color data needed for anyone
to view the colors as intended.
To save an InDesign file, choose File > Save.
Previewing more accurate blacks (Illustrator CS2 and InDesign CS2)
The improved black preview feature in Adobe Creative Suite 2 lets you choose how to
view and print black objects in Illustrator CS2 and InDesign CS2. While you can still
view 100% K objects as a dark, rich black (the default for earlier versions of InDesign
and Illustrator when Color Management was turned off), you can now choose to view
black objects more accurately, seeing the difference between 100% K and rich black.
Note: You can still see the difference between 100% K black and a rich black in
Photoshop CS2. However, to see the difference in all three applications, you'll need to
change the default setting as described below.
To preview blacks more accurately in Illustrator CS2:
1. Choose Illustrator > Preferences.
2. Select Appearance of Black from the pop-up menu.
3. Select Display All Blacks Accurately from the On Screen menu.
Note: Display All Blacks Accurately displays the difference between a 100% K and a rich
black on-screen. If you select Consistent Blacks, both blacks appear the same.
