Adjust the gain of the subwoofer amplifier to blend in with the midrange and high frequency speakers. Ideally the amplifier powering the ie subwoofer has an electronic crossover, If it does adjust it for the best sound quality, the crossover setting should be between 50-100 Hz. If the amplifier does not have an electronic crossover, a 5 mH coil in series with the enclosure is acceptable.

The ie series subwoofers are designed to integrate with a wide variety of full range speakers. A typical installation consists of a factory stereo system driving an external amplifier powering the ie series subwoofer. A more advanced system utilizes separate midrange and hi frequency speakers and multi- channel amplification, such as an a/d/s/ PH30 amplifier powering 346is speakers front and rear along with an ie series subwoofer.
